Larry Weiss
Singer and Songwriter

Over the past three decades, Larry Weiss has achieved notable success as a songwriter, artist and producer. His songs have been recorded by some of the world’s most famous artists with several songs charting at #1. Among his successes are the multi-award winning “Rhinestone Cowboy” and the multi-million performance song, Bend Me Shape Me. “Lay Me Down (Roll Me Out To Sea)” was such a favorite of Barry Manilow, that he recorded it on four (4) separate occasions selling over 10 million records. Larry recently received an ASCAP award honoring “Rhinestone Cowboy” as one of the top 10 most performed country songs of the Century.

Years ago he recognized the marque value of Rhinestone Cowboy and was the driving force that put together the film that starred Sylvester Stallone and Dolly Parton based on his song.

Weiss has been the president of his own publishing companies for over 25 years and has expanded into film and TV. He spent twelve years developing “The Last Magician” for the feature film. Part of his research included living and writing in Chicago and Alaska. Current projects include developing a T.V. docudrama about Medal of Honor recipients. Also in development is “Rhinestone Cowboy…the Musical”. Weiss owns a number of trademarks on “Rhinestone Cowboy”, recently announced there are plans to launch a theme club franchise bearing the name.

Larry Weiss today remains an active, critically acclaimed songwriter, artist and producer living and working in Nashville.
